8th International Conference on Coelenterate Biology - 1-5 December 2013

CoralWarm team participated to the 8th ICCB in Eilat (Israel) with several contributions both as oral and poster presentation. The CoralWarm project was also one of the sponsors of the conference.

Eilat is located at the border between the Negev desert and the Israeli Red Sea, facing towards Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia.

Before the conference start, the CoralWarm team sets up a meeting to update each other about the last results. In the afternoon, we visit the Underwater Observatory of Eilat. Here you can see the view of the coast of Eilat and Jordan as seen from the top of the observatory, and the main "star" of the aquaria: the frogfish!

Later on, we visit the Interuniversity Institute for Marine Science of Eilat (IUI). The equipment is presented by the technicians, included the research vessel, a new generation water and bottom sampler, and an innovative system to monitor and identify zooplankton by means of stereo cameras and microphones.
