In the afternoon, we visit the
Underwater Observatory of Eilat. Here you can see the view of the coast
of Eilat and Jordan as seen from the top of the observatory, and the
main "star" of the aquaria: the frogfish! |

Later on, we visit the Interuniversity
Institute for Marine Science of Eilat (IUI). The equipment is presented
by the technicians, included the research vessel, a new generation water
and bottom sampler, and an innovative system to monitor and identify
zooplankton by means of stereo cameras and microphones. |
